| Jomarcus Savage plays defensive end in high school with incredible strength and straight line quickness. At 260 pounds, he has the size to play defensive tackle in college, but he shows enough athleticism that he could be a strong side defensive end on the next level as well. His first step is explosive, and he has good pass rushing technique. His lateral quickness, while still good, doesn't match his straight ahead speed yet - Scott Kennedy. |

Savage was honored with ASWA Firs Team DL honors and by the Huntsville Times as Super Team All-Metro DL and 5A-6A First Team. He was also awarded Defensive Player of the Year (All Classes) and for the 5A-6A Class.
The senior had 76 tackles with 24 for a loss this season (2007) and 12 sacks.
Junior season 79 tackles with nine sacks. Savage was awarded First Team All-State by ASWA for DL play in 2006. |
