Foshee's Mustangs are undefeated this season and just saved that perfect record last Friday night. The Mustangs found themselves behind by 22 points to a Selma group that can really put on an offensive show. It would have been easy for the Mustangs to have gone another way in this game. Foshee calmed his team by telling them there was plenty of time. Stanhope Elmore went ahead at the 6:63 mark in the third quarter 29-22, from that point on they kept the lead and won the game 42-34. Foshee spent his football playing days with the Mustangs also. He went on to earn a scholarship to the University of Alabama where he played linebacker and running back under Coach Gene Stallings. Foshee served a graduate assistant stint with the Tide. Stanhope Elmore was coached by Hall of Fame member Jimmy Foshee for 25 years when his defensive coordinator succeeded him in 2000, his son Jeff. Coach Foshee has continued the winning tradition at Stanhope Elmore, and the Mustangs' record is showing it.
