Moss rushed for 132 yards on 13 carries scoring on runs of 72 and 15 yards. Defensively, the senior also returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown, caused two fumbles, recovered a fumble and made six tackles in the 27-12 win over Beauregard.

Langley rushed for 213 yards on 20 carries scoring twice, once on a 70 yard reverse. He caught three passes for 31 yards and returned two kicks for 60 yards the win over rival Guntersville, 21-14.
Brent Calloway
6-3, 225-pounds

Russellville High School
Calloway is a commitment to the University of Alabama. The senior rushed for 210 yards on 17 carries with touchdowns of 55 and 64 yards in only three quarters of play. Russellville defeated rival Deshler 34-13 to open the season.
Jameis Winston

6-3, 180-pounds
Hueytown High School
Winston completed 19-of-33 passing attempts for 182 yards and a touchdown of 28 yards in his team’s 36-21 win over 6A Pelham. The junior rushed for 154 yards scoring three more touchdowns of 55, 14, and five yards. He also reeled in a 25-yard pass. Winston also punts for the Golden Gophers, and he hit three for 97 yards and also converted a fourth down while in as punter. Winston has scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
Erique Florence
6-2, 185-pounds

Valley High School
Florence rushed for 122 yards on 21 carries and passed for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the 41-23 loss to a highly ranked 6A Auburn High School team. Florence has scholarship offers to both Alabama and Auburn among many others to play on the defensive side of the ball.
D'Morris Bledsoe
6-1, 215-pounds
Senior Running Back
Sylacauga High School
Bledsoe rushed for 224 yards on 28 carries including a 33-yard run on fourth down in his team’s 41-6 win over Munford. The senior scored three touchdowns powering through would-be tacklers and accounted for a two-point conversion. Bledsoe had a fourth touchdown called back for an illegal block.

Smith had two interceptions and forced a fumble during Albertville’s win over East Limestone 38-14.
Wilson Whorton
6-0, 170-pounds
Senior Kicker/Punter
Briarwood Christian School
Whorton kicked two field goals for 32 and 42 yards and played a part in a fake field goal that went for a touchdown. The senior also put four kicks in the end zone and downed a punt at the one-yard line against reigning 5A State Champ Demopolis, 23-13.

The Tigers had to sweat out a win over their rival Jemison 27-26, and out of that victory came some great performances. McKinnney intercepted a pass in the end zone to preserver the win. Jackson made nine tackles and picked off a pass.Hilliard made eight tackles and recovered a fumble.

Humphries rushed for 243 yards on 13 carries scoring four touchdowns in the 35-6 win over Carbon Hill. The junior scored on runs of 11, 24, 60 and 70 yards.

6-1, 190-pounds

Fairfield High School
Saltmarch made nine tackles in his team’s 36-6 win over 6A Jackson-Olin. He also had a sack and picked off a pass.

Fort Payne High School
Hall had four solo tackles in Fort Payne’s 47-21 win over Springville. He also had four assists, two quarterback pressures, three big hits and picked off a pass and returned it 15 yards. Bethune returned the opening kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown and caught a 65-yard touchdown pass.

Jones scored four touchdowns in the team’s 49-7 win over Tarrant. He ran for a 3-yard touchdown, caught a 40-yard score and returned two punts for 76 and 39 yards, both for touchdowns.

Mendoza made an amazing 16 tackles in the team’s loss to Mortimer Jordan 21-14. Harris completed 18-of-27 pass attempts for 302 yards scoring with two touchdowns.

Pleasant Grove High School
Blount had nine tackles, two tackles for a loss, and four sacks in the 10-0 win over 6A Robert E. Lee High School (Montgomery).
Darion Alexander
6-2, 170-pounds
Junior Quarterback
Selma High School
Alexander passed for 160 yards scoring three touchdowns in the 33-0 win over their rival Southside-Selma.
