2008: Sanders rushed for 1,057 yards on 121 carries with 16 touchdowns in only seven games. He caught 13 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns.
Sanders accounted for 90 tackles on defense, 71 solo, 32 for a loss, nine sacks, four forced fumbles, six interceptions, two pass break-ups, one blocked punt and four blocked field goal attempts. Sanderson was a finalist for Mr. Football and 1A ASWA All-State first team defensive lineman.
Ariton's three losses last season went to McKenzie (42-28), Brantley (51-14), and to J.U. Blacksher in the first round of the play-offs (22-21).
