Sam Gibson is an all-around athlete, and coaches aross the South have taken notice as Gibson holds offers at two different positions.
"Everything is going good," Gibson said from his home in Prattville, Ala,.
"I have received offers from UAB and South Alabama this week. I talked to Coach [Greg] Gregory, the offensive coordinator, I think, and he told me he wanted me to come to South and play quarterback for him. That was pretty much it," Gibson noted.
"I did not talk to anyone from UAB. They just called my coach and told him I had an offer to come play quarterback at UAB. I guess someone will contact me later."
The Vanderbilt Commodores have offered Gibson as a wide receiver, and others are expected to follow.
"LSU, Auburn and Alabama are recruiting me as a wide receiver," Gibson said.
"I am supposed to visit LSU this weekend. I'm not sure, but I think Auburn, or LSU could be my next offer. Both schools are recruiting me pretty hard."
As for future plans, Gibson stated, "I don't know, I am working out and spring practice begins in May."
