Nico Johnson talks Tide victory

ScoutSouth.com caught up with the five-star Alabama commitment, and he shared his thoughts about the Alabama/Georgia match-up.

The 6-2, 235-pound middle linebacker is a product of Andalusia, (Ala.), and he recently pledged his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama. Nico Johnson discussed the big victory.

"I watched the game on TV," Johnson said from his home in Andalusia.

"Alabama played a great first half, but the second half they came out cold. They had a big enough lead to finish things off. Georgia didn't show up until the second half, which helped out."

"I thought the defense played all right, but I thought they took some plays off in the second half. Overall I think the team played great. They played a real good game."

When asked about unofficial or official visits in his future, Johnson had this to say, "I don't have any official visits lined up. I am going to go to the Alabama/Auburn game, but that is probably it for now."

Johnson is also uncertain if he will visit any other schools, "I don't know right now," he said.

Johnson also had a message for the Alabama fans.

"Roll Tide," he said. "I can't wait to get it rolling next year."
