In a game with two of the nation’s best tailbacks, Clemson’s C.J. Spiller and James Davis, it was 5-10, 215-pound Mark Ingram who emerged as the outstanding runner in the game. In his college debut he rushed 17 times for a game-high 96 yards, a 5.6 yards-per-carry average, and had the longest run of the game, a 28-yard burst.
