Amos Draper has his first offer

Amos Draper is a quick defensive end who all the recruiters like. He led his Tanner Rattlers to the 2A state playoffs in 2007, and he has picked up his first offer.

"I got an offer from Arkansas State two weeks ago," Amos Draper said. "I got it in the mail. Coach Peoples sent it to me."

Arkansas State isn't the only team interested in Draper as he is still hearing from Tennessee.

"I talk to Coach Chavis at UT, and he still says they are planning to offer me after they see me play my first game. They want to make sure I can still play the same on my knee after surgery," Draper explained.

"I was talking to Coach Cooper from South Carolina pretty often, but I haven't talked to him in a couple of weeks. They always told me they liked my film and the way I played."

"Coach Bowens from UAB stays in touch with me pretty often. MSU and Alabama just stay in contact with me and tell me to keep them in mind," Amos Draper explained.

Coach Laron White will once again lead the Rattlers in 2008. There was some confusion about Coach White who recently took the head coaching job at Dothan. It turns out it is Coach Laron White's brother, Calvin White. welcomes Coach Calvin White to Dothan High.
