Coaches Visit Track Star

Jeremy Isabelle returns from the state track meet where he performed extremely well. College recruiters are also coming by J.O. Johnson High School to take a look at the speedy defensive back during spring practice.

"I'm ranked third in 5A in the 400," Jeremy Isabelle proudly proclaimed from his home in Huntsville, (Ala.). "Track season is over, and we can all focus on spring football. We have been coming together as a team since we're all at practice."

"We lost our entire offensive line and most of our defensive line from last season. We also lost both our running backs and our quarterback," Isabelle reports of the Jaguars spring session.

While there is no doubt J.O. Johnson lost a ton of talent off last season's quarter-final squad the talent pool isn't completely depleted. Jeremy Isabelle is one of a handful of athletes who will draw attention from recruiters. He tells us about the schools stopping by to take in spring practice.

"Southern Miss and Arkansas State came by practice this week, and Middle Tennessee State has been by," Isabelle stated. "Middle is probably showing the most interest in me at this time, and they're coming back to our spring game."

David Isabelle is the older brother of the two, and he signed with UAB in their 2008 class.

"I plan to go to some camps this summer, but I'm not sure which ones I'm going to other than UAB's," Isabelle said.

Stay with as we continue to track Jeremy Isabelle and the J.O. Johnson Jaguars during the 2008 season.
