The 6-2, 200 pound athlete played well enough at his free safety position to catch the attention of recruiters around the country. Harrison Pollard shares the latest news with ScoutSouth.com.
“I’m receiving interest from Vanderbilt, Marshall, Tulane, Duke, Middle Tennessee, Colorado, Illinois, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky, UAB and Rice,” Pollard stated.
“Vanderbilt is recruiting me harder than anyone else at this time. I went to their Junior Day, and I really enjoyed it. I like the area and the campus, but they are going to have limited scholarships available next year which probably lessens my chances at a scholarship."
“After Vandy I would say UAB and Duke are recruiting me pretty hard. UAB is really starting to pick up their efforts, and I hear from Duke a lot too.”
Pollard intends to camp at three universities this summer.
“I plan to attend camps at Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Duke,” he said. “Those are the only camps I plan on attending this summer."
Pollard talked about the Patriots upcoming season.
“We lost 20 seniors from last years team, but a lot of the starters were underclassmen. It isn’t as bad as it sounds," he explained.
“We have a lot of guys coming back with experience, and we have a good group of young guys coming up. I will have some good wide receivers coming back like Brandon Gottfried. I like throwing the ball to Brandon because he is 6-4, or 6-5, and he will go up after the ball."
