Led by Cody Haycraft's 193 yards rushing, Albertville led 37-7 before giving way to backups. Lee closed out the night scoring the last 16 points of the contest, but still lost 37-23.
Haycraft went in from four yards out Troy Simmons kick) with 6:27 to play in the first quarter to give the Aggies a 7-0 lead.
Quarterback Jared Fountaine scored on a 10-yard scamper Simmons kick) to make it 14-0 with 9:17 left in the second quarter. Haycraft again scored with 1:32 in the 2nd (Simmons kick) for the Aggies to take a commanding 21-0 lead.
Lee scored with 27 seconds left on a Raymond Russell, Jr. 10-yard pass to Jarrett Burns (Reeves kick) to end the first half at 21-7.
The only scoring in the third quarter was Lee's Russell sacked in the endzone for a safety. At the end of three, Albertville led 23-7.
Albertville put the game out of reach in the 4th quarter on a one yard run by Haycraft and a Kyle Rigsby fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Albertville substituted freely with 10 minutes left in the game. Lee quickly took advantage of the situation by scoring a safety, a touchdown on a 20 Russell to Askew pass (Russell to Burns for 2) and a Russell to Warrick 24-yard TD as time ran out.
On the game, Albertville ran the ball 59 times for 334 yards. Freshman Tyree Roberts picked up 62 yards on six carries. Lee rushed 28 times for 137 yards.
Albertville was 1-5 passing for 15 yards. Lee completed 11-15 for 147 yards. Aggies' Beau Dahlke and Dustin Duckett intercepted two of Russell's passes to stop drives.
Albertville finishes Region 7 action 5-2 while Lee ends up 2-5. The Aggies travel to the 2006 4A State champions Guntersville to continue the longest rivilary in the State. Albertville and Guntersville will meet in the 93rd meeting of the two schools.
