With the game 21-13, Arab High School had the ball on the Aggie one-yard line with three downs to score. They didn't. Albertville held off three running plays and took over at their own two-inch line.



The region win evened Albertville's region record to 2-2, with a key match-up next week with powerfull Scottsboro.

Arab jumped out to an early 10-0 lead, on a five-yard scoring run by John King and a 28-yard field goal by Trey Knighton.

Albertville came back in the second quarter with two unanswered touchdowns. The first on two-yard run by Cody Haycraft and Beau Dahlke's 33-yard interception return for a touchdown. The half-time score was 14-10 Albertville.

The third quarter saw Arab cut the score to 14-13 on a 24-yard Knighton field goal. Albertville made the score 21-13 late in the third quarter by way of a Jared Fontaine to Dustin Duckett eight-yard scoring toss.

With an opportunity to tie the game late in the fouth quarter, Arab was held out of the endzone by the Aggies goal line stand. Following the stand, Albertville's Austin McCullars booted a 56 -yard punt to push the Knights back on the other end of the field.

The Aggies defense sacked Arab on 4th down to perserve the win and even their record at 3-3. Arab drops to 1-5.

For the Aggies, Cody Haycraft rushed 19 times for 105 yards. Chaz Cleveland ran 17 times for 82 yards. Albertville's Austin McCullars punted three times for a 48-yard average.
