This has been called one of the top five rivalries in the state, but Opp hasn't been holding up their end of the bargain with only one win in each of the last two seasons. The Bobcats, under second year coach Jack Whigham, have turned a new page and come into the contest 2-0 with a win over 2A Luverne 19-18. They followed up with a region win over Alabama Christian 28-0.

Opp will bring senior quarterback Cody Hall (6-1, 195) to the contest. Chris Carlton (5-11, 180), a junior linebacker and running back. Carlton recorded 16 tackles in the opening game against Luverne.

Anadalusia lost a tough opener to 2006 3A state champ Pike County 29-18, but they bounced back and won their region opener against St. James 35-14.

Coach Harmon will depend heavily on senior running back Michael Berry (6-0, 200) who also plays defensive back. Berry scored 27 touchdowns in 2006. Talented junior linebacker (6-2 220) Nico Johnson is one to watch on defense as a future division one college player. Johnson was All-State for his sophomore year and accounted for 113 tackles.

Rebecca's Take: Opp will play host this year, but Andalusia will spoil the Bobcats’ party.
