"I have offers from Auburn, Georgia, Purdue and Southern Mississippi."
"I would say Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and LSU are the schools that I hear from the most. I don't have any favorites at this time. I'm just looking at the schools--which ones offer my major, and where I could get early playing time."
"I don't have a time-table for a decision. I'm just trying to figure out the best situation for me. I want to take my time making my decision."
McGrue reports of the offered schools and what he likes of each:
Auburn: "Coach Price came to spring practice, and he told my coach he would take me right now."
Georgia: "Georgia's assistant coach came by practice during spring. He told me I had an offer from Georgia after practice."
Purdue: "They came by school after spring practice and offered me a scholarship."
Southern Miss: "The first time they saw me they offered me a scholarship."
When asked favorites McGrue said, "I really don't have a favorite. I didn't have a favorite school growing up."
"I just started playing football in the 9th grade. I was too big to play pee-wee football. I was 5-11, 250-pounds in the 5th grade, so they wouldn't let me play."
"My Dad played at Mississippi Valley, and we used to go there for games sometimes when I was growing up."
McGrue reported an 18 on his ACT and a 3.2 GPA. McGrue also talked about his plans for the summer.
"I plan to take my ACT again. I want to score higher than an 18," he said.
"I plan to attend camps at Auburn, Georgia, and possibly Alabama. I'm interested in the top programs that are interested in me."
