Eric Jones Adds Two Offers

ScoutSouth.com spoke with Eric Jones of Spain Park High School in Hoover, (Ala.)Thursday evening, and the big offensive lineman told us of two new scholarship offers.

"Coach Woods [Tulane] called Tuesday night and offered me a scholarship," Eric Jones said. "They were at practice a couple of weeks ago, and they liked the way I play."

"JSU (Jacksonville State University) called me last night and offered. Coach Ross said they really liked what they saw at practice a couple weeks ago."

"My brother goes to JSU. He's a pitcher for the baseball team. He (Alex Jones) called Tuesday night and told us he was selected second team all OVSC, so it was a pretty big night around here."

"Miami (Ohio) called and told me they really liked me. They wanted me to stay in touch with them. They liked the way I played and said they were very interested in me. I was born in Cincinnati, and we still know some people up there."

"Coach Caldwell from Vanderbilt called, and Vandy wants me to come to camp this summer. I have already signed up and plan to go up there for camp."

Jones now hold three scholarship offers--La. Tech, Tulane and JSU. ScoutSouth.com asked Jones three questions pertaining to his recruitment.

Does he have an early favorite: "No, I'm still open to all schools right now."

What will play the biggest role in his decision: "I just want to find a school with good academics, where I can feel comfortable."

What is the time-frame for his decision: "I want to have my decision out of the way by the end of summer."
