Coaches Evaluating LaManski Ware

LaManski Ware, from Lanett, (Ala.), is an athletic linebacker who had a terrific junior season. He is seeing several college coaches visit as spring evaluations are underway. Ware tell us the latest news..

"I don't have any offers yet," said LaManski Ware. "I think that Vanderbilt may be close to offering me. I have been talking to a few other schools who I feel like may offer as well."

"We've already had a few coaches come by the school. Al Borges from Auburn was here. He called my coach and said he was coming to see me and a couple of other guys. He stayed during practice."

"UAB, Georgia Tech and Troy have been by the school as well. The coach from Vanderbilt called coach Sikes, and he said he was really interested in me." Ware recorded 84 tackles during his junior season and missed three games with a hip pointer. He also recorded four caused fumbles, five fumble recoveries, one interception and one blocked punt. He was selected ASWA first team All-State as a tight end.

Ware is eager to receive the first scholarship offer, and he plans to attend Auburn's senior day summer camp.

"I don't have any favorites," he said. "I just want to play football somewhere."

Ware will attend the All-American combine in Atlanta May 26. Recommended Stories
