Louis Watson, Sr. was a star on the gridiron as well. He was a receiver for Mississippi Valley State and played along side Jerry Rice. He signed as a free agent with the Cleveland Browns and played one year in the Canadian Football League for Ottawa.

The proud father is excited the see his son's recruitment beginning to take flight, but for now Louis Jr. is having a phenomenal track season.

"Louis ran a 10.85 in the 100 meters the other day," Watson said. "He has been invited to the Nike Invitational in Landover Maryland. He is going to that, and he has been invited out to California for a track meet June 5."

"We went down to Baton Rouge a few weeks ago for a track meet. He won the 55 meter and the 400 meter race. We visited LSU that day as well. Everything was real nice over there."
