Quinton Pierce Talks Tide's Junior Day

Davidson High School standout Quinton Pierce visited Alabama's Junior Day, and ScoutSouth.com caught up with the 6-2, 185-pound athlete to talk about his trip.

"It was good," Quintin Pierce said from Mobile, (Ala.). "They showed me a lot of stuff. They really impressed me. The dorms at Alabama are amazing."

"The coaches, all of the coaches were real friendly and straight to the point. All the players were friendly and positive also. It was real nice. I talked to coach [Ron] Middleton and coach [Lance] Thompson the most and a little bit to coach [Nick] Saban."

"They said they would look at me as a quarterback, but more than likely they would offer me as an athlete if they offered. I think they want me as a wide-out. I told them I just want to get on the field as soon as I can. I don't care where I play."

The talented athlete talked about some of the recruits he hung out with at the Capstone.

"I met with Preyear (Davidson teammate Jermaine Preyear) and Reggie Hunt and Teavis Durgin from Daphne," Pierce said. "All the recruits up there were really impressed and all seemed to be very happy."

Pierce said his favorites are Alabama, Auburn and LSU.

"Auburn and Alabama are on top," he said. "I like LSU a little bit, but I am not sure. I will see about them later. I am going to Auburn's Junior Day next, and I may try to go LSU."

Pierce passed for 950 yards, rushed for 700 and recorded 13 touchdowns as a junior.
