"It was good," Jermaine Preyear said from Mobile, (Ala.). "There were a whole bunch of people up there, probably around 300 or so. I really liked their Academic Center. The coaches showed me how serious they are about academics. I liked that. The facilities were great. We went to the stadium and watched some highlights, and that was awesome. Their crowd seems like they are loud. I really feel in love with the place. I really liked it. If they would have offered I probably would have committed."
Preyear does not have any scholarship offers yet, but the talented playmaker said he is hearing from several schools.
"I visited Florida State last year with Mike (McNeil) and met all their coaches and seen their facilities. They don't have anything on the Alabama coaches and facilities. I talked with coach [Lance] Thompson a lot. They are all real cool and down to earth. I really liked all the coaches. They motivated me."
"I didn't get a chance to talk to many of the recruits. Every time I sat down there was some where else for us to go. It was busy. I spent my time talking to the coaches and checking out the Academic Center. I really like what Alabama has to offer their students."
Preyear talked about his junior season.
"I know I had over 1,000 yards rushing and something like 15 or 18 touchdowns," he said. I run a 4.3."
