Elliott McGaskin Talks New Staff, Visits

Scout.com three-star safety/running back Elliot McGaskin accepted a grayshirt offer from the Shula regimen back in October. A lot has changed since that date, including the entire coaching staff at the University of Alabama. ScoutSouth.com caught up with McGaskin to talk about the new staff and what the future holds for the 6-1, 190-pound senior.

"I think it is a good deal that they got Saban up there. I am still 100-per cent committed," Elliott McGaskin said from B.C. Rain in Mobile, (Ala.).

"Nick Saban called down here Thursday. I didn't talk to him. He talked to the counselor at my school. He wanted my transcript and my ACT score."

"I plan on going not this weekend, but the weekend after that to Alabama (official visit 1-19). I am going to West Virginia (1-12) and Arkansas on the 16th." When asked of the two additional official visits McGaskin replied, "The coaches kept calling me to see if I would keep my options open."
