It won't be a shock to see Jones or one of his staff members at the contest scouting though, as FNL spotted a BSC assistant just last week on the sidelines at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery observing the Prattville win over Jeff Davis.
What they will probably see is a Spartans' loss to mighty Hoover, (3-0). Rush Propst comes in with arguably his best team ever, including a star-studded list of prospects including quarterback Ross Wilson (UA baseball commitment), tackle Patrick Crump (Bama greyshirt commitment), Scout.com five-star defensive tackle Kerry Murphy (a Bama/Miami battle), offensive lineman Ryan Pugh (Auburn Commitment), defensive lineman Josh Chapman (Auburn commitment) and wide receiver Brandon Clear, a Virginia transfer whose dad commutes to Montgomery's Maxwell AFB each morning so his son can play for the mighty Bucs.
The Spartans will counter with an all-star o-line cast including Tide greyshirt commitment William Vlachos and top junior prospect Tyler Love. Anchoring the MBHS defensive line is Clemson pledge Drew Traylor. First-year boss Chris Yeager's Spartans started 0-2 before pulling a win out over Minor last week.
Hoover, frankly, has not been challenged, though the backups for the Bucs allowed a pair of late Spain Park scores to make last week's 40-28 win by Hoover respectable-sounding.
Things are not very likely to change. FNL looks for a 42-14 Hoover win. We'll hear from Propst and Yeager about the prospects on each team as well as post-game remarks. Stay tuned to FNL on ScoutSouth.com.
