"I have a bunch of schools showing interest, but I don't know how serious they are," said Tyler Robbins from Homewood, (Ala.). "Vanderbilt, Furman and Navy are the main schools showing interest in me right now."
"I like Furman and Vanderbilt. They are two schools at the top of my list."
"I am hoping to attend some games this fall. I will have to look at my schedule to see when I can go."
Robbins recorded over 900 yards receiving during his junior season, but the spotlight in 2005 was on senior receiver Tim Hawthorne. It's time for Robbins to shine in 2006 as Hawthorne is now looking for early playing time for the Auburn Tigers.
"Practice has been really hot," Robbins reported. "We are starting to come together. We should be all right if we stay healthy. It's a big step up for us to Class 6A. We'll see how we take it. We play Tallassee our first game. We play a jamboree game against Woodlawn at Vestavia August 25."
Robbins looks to his final year for the Patriots and eager to perform in the highest classification in the state.
"My expectations for myself is definitely to be playmaker," he said. "I want to step up and do what the team is asking of me."
