"I haven't received any new offers lately," said Elliott McGaskin from Mobile, (Ala.).
"I am still waiting on offers from Alabama and LSU. I think both of those schools are really close to offering me."
Purdue, Illinois, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, South Carolina, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Clemson and South Florida have all extended scholarship offers.
McGaskin was in Tuscaloosa for a recent team camp, and his time may have been well spent.
"I went to the Alabama's 7-on-7 camp," he said. "The coaches told me they were getting ready to offer me. I talked to coach Mike Shula for a while. They showed me around campus. Coach [Chris] Ball showed me a lot of love. He told me I was a tremendous athlete, and he would love to have me in his defense."
"I am still holding on waiting for Alabama to offer me. They are my favorite school."
The Scout.com three-star prospect noted his other favorites as Clemson and West Virginia.
Will Alabama pull the trigger and offer McGaskin? Will McGaskin and teammate Ryan Williams play college football together at Alabama or possibly LSU, Clemson or West Virginia?
