The South Showcase Combine tour hit Thomasville High School this past weekend with several prospects…
South Showcase Combine: Luke Lawrence
Luke Lawrence explained his biggest asset to his game.
"My run blocking is my biggest asset because of my size," he said, "plus we run the veer. So we run about 65-percent of the time. I like pass blocking too. I think the best is my run blocking skills though."
Lawrence currently does not have any scholarship offers, but he has received many letters from the Southeast.
"If I could go to any of the SEC schools such as Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Alabama, that would be great," he said. "I have also gotten letters from South Alabama. I have taken a visit to UAB for a practice, so I really like UAB. I am going to go to a lot of camps this year, but I haven't been offered yet."
Lawrence is not leaning towards any particular school, but says he is waiting for the best opportunity.
"Wofford has called me a few times," he said. "I really want to go to a school where I can play right off."
Lawrence is pretty quick on his feet for an offensive lineman and with his height and weight he should draw the eye of many recruiters throughout the recruiting process.
