"My strength, power, and explosiveness allow me to get off the line fast and put the defender on the ground," Julian Cole said.
Cole's team went 4-6 last season, but is expecting big things from this year's team with more senior leadership than in past years. Cole also enjoys track and field on the side.
He reported, "I do the discus and shot put event for our track and field team."
When choosing a college Cole said, "I want to be able to play and contribute right away."
Cole has not yet been to any junior day programs, but he plans to attend Mississippi State's spring game as well as the spring game for the University of North Alabama.
has not yet received any offers from schools, but he has received interest letters from big name schools Stanford and TCU.
Cole participates in the ROTC program at his school and feels that will play a vital role in his leadership skills and college choice.
"I feel like Virginia Military Institute would be a good fit for me because I will bring my leadership ability to the classroom and the football field," he stated.
Cole has two former teammates who play college ball, Bradley Payne at Troy University and David Barnett at the University of North Alabama.
The class of 2012 prospect is looking forward to a more successful season that will hopefully boost his potential suitors for the next level.
