Intro: Devin Johnson
"I do a lot of different things that make me a very versatile player," Devin Johnson said.
Johnson's team made it to the semi-finals this past season. They could have possibly made it further if it were not for Johnson spraining his ankle in the game. He expects big things from his team this year.
"I want to go undefeated and win the championship," he said. "I want to go out on top."
Besides football, Johnson participates in basketball and track. He has set some very high personal goals for this upcoming season.
"I want to try and complete almost every pass," he said, "and I do not want to have a single interception."
Johnson is all about playing time when looking at choosing a college
"I want to play as much as I can from the time I get there till the time I leave," he commented.
The only junior day visit he has been to so far is at Memphis University where coach Mike Dubose is trying to recruit him.
"I had a great time," he explained, "and it was a good learning experience."
Johnson has not yet received any offers from schools, but has received letters from Memphis and Tennessee. He also plans to attend each of their spring games. However, he has a few different dream schools.
"My dream school would be Ole Miss," he said. "A close second would be Southern Mississippi, and Mississippi State."
