The second week of the 2010 football season is history, and it was one for the record books. Gardendale senior receiver, Ja'Michael Willis, hauled in six touchdown passes. Stanhope Elmore ended Prattville's run of region wins dating back to their October 20, 2000 loss to Sidney Lanier 22-20. Here are the 6A Stars of Alabama for Week Two.



Desmond Purter
Senior Running Back
5-9, 180 pounds
Auburn High School

Purter scored on a three-yard run, but it was his 55-yard punt return in the fourth quarter that set up Auburn's final touchdown in the 27-6 victory over Dothan.

JaMichael Willis
Junior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back
5-11, 150 pounds
Dallas Tidwell
Senior Quarterback
6-7, 170 pounds
Gardendale High School

Willis caught eight passes for 190 yards, six of them for touchdowns in the 51-26 win over Bessemer City 51-26. Tidwell tossed the six touchdown passes of 7, 9, 56, 10, 51, and 7 yards. He completed 16-of-22 passing attempts for 283 total yards in the win.

Jervohnte Riles
Senior Wide Receiver
6-3, 195 pounds
Bessemer City High School

Not to be left behind, Riles caught nine passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns in the 51-26 loss to Gardendale.

Stanley Robinson
Senior Running Back
5-8, 160 pounds
Carver Montgomery High School

Robinson rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries in his team's 44-7 win over Jeff Davis. Carver has scored 99 points in two games thus far. They will face Stanhope Elmore this week.

Adam Wright
Senior Defensive Tackle
6-2, 270 pounds
Clay-Chalkville High School

Although Hewitt-Trussville nearly doubled Clay-Chalkville's offensive output, Wright and company never allowed the Huskies within 10 yards of their goal line. The senior recorded eight tackles, a sack and a pass breakup in the 7-6 win over their rival.

Terrance Timmons

5-9, 175 pounds
Josh Bowen
Senior Kicker
6-1, 255 pounds
Davidson High School

Timmons rushed for 123 yards on nine carries scoring twice in the 48-18 win over Vigor. Bowen booted home two 42-yard kicks in the win over Vigor.

Willie Curry
Junior Running Back
5-11, 175 pounds
Enterprise High School

Curry rushed for 155 yards on nine carries scoring four touchdowns of 24, 8, 24, and 53 yards in the 48-14 win over region opponent Northview. They will face Auburn High School this week on the road.

Willie Woodyard
Junior Defensive Back
5-9, 175 pounds
Fairhope High School

Woodyard made his presence felt on both sides of the ball last week, breaking free on a 39-yard run in the first quarter and returning an interception for a touchdown in the third. Fairhope defeated McGill-Toolen 24-18 in their region opener.

Cedrix Reed
Sophomore Defensive Back
5-8, 180 pounds
Foley High School

Reed recovered a fumble in the end zone for a Lions score and picked off a Robertsdale pass in the 42-14 win. Foley faces their heated rival, Daphne, this week.

Anthony Swain
Senior Defensive Back
6-2, 205 pounds
Alonzo Harris
Senior Running Back
6-1, 210 pounds
Gadsden City High School

Harris rushed for 155 yards on 33 carries in the 24-12 win over Oxford. Swain picked off a Yellow Jacket pass and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown. The Auburn commitment gave Gadsden City the lead 17-12 and never relinquished it.

Caleb Sims
Junior Wide Receiver
5-10, 175 pounds
Hoover High School

Sims had 150 all-purpose yards in the win over Spain Park. The speedster scored on 27 and 57 yard receptions. He also ran for another 16-yard score in the 44-0 dismantling of rival Spain Park.

Gray Cato
Junior Quarterback
5-9, 140 pounds
Pelham High School

Cato completed 13-of-15 passing attempts for 209 yards and three touchdowns of 25, 45 and nine yards in the 38-16 win over Oak Mountain. The win takes Pelham to 1-1 on the season.

David Johnson
Junior Running Back
5-7, 160 pounds
Deion Holloman
Senior Linebacker
5-11, 200 pounds
Shades Valley High School

Johnson rushed for 268 yards on 21 carries and four touchdowns of 13, 1, 30 and 70 yards in the 28-14 win over Pell City. Holloman made 11 tackles and broke up a pass in the victory.

Justin Elias
Senior Defensive Back
5-8, 150 pounds
Smiths Station High School

Elias intercepted two passes and recovered a fumble in the 41-6 win over Shaw (GA). He also caught a touchdown pass.

Dalton Van Cor
Junior Kicker
5-10, 165 pounds
Pat Milliner
Senior Running Back
6-1, 170 pounds
Stanhope Elmore High School

Kicking games often win or lose ball games, and the Mustangs came up with a winner last Friday when Van Cor made all five of his extra points in a nailbiting 35-34 win over Prattville breaking a 12-year losing streak. The junior's last kick came after a celebration penalty made the point-after attempt a 35-yard game winner with 14 seconds remaining. Earlier in the quarter Van Cor successfully executed an onside kick recovered by Jatori Graves on Prattville's 46-yard line setting up the tying touchdown. Milliner rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries with two touchdowns of 4 and 86 yards.

Georgie Salem
Junior Running Back
5-9, 185 pounds
Vestavia Hills High School

Salem powered for 137 yards on 21 carries including a seven-yard score. He recorded 87 yards on returns in the 17-13 win over Mountain Brook.
